Tier 1: Warrior Reset
Bear Lake Woodland Loop
Length: 1.7 mi
Elevation Gain: 232 ft
Estimated time: 2 hr
Out and Back
The Woodland Trail provides an excellent introduction to and explanation of the flora indigenous to Big Bear Lake. he loop features mildly steep sections along a well-maintained trail, making this hike great for introducing the alpine environment. Meditation and mindfullness practices included.

Tier 3: The warrior ascent
Sugarloaf Mountain via Wildhorse Meadow Trail
Length: 9.7 mi
Elevation Gain: 2,670 ft
Estimated time: 8 hr
Out and Back
Enjoy this 9.7-mile out-and-back trail near Sugarloaf, California. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 5 h 35 min to complete. This trail is great for backpacking, camping, and hiking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are May through September.

Tier 2: Warrior Ready
Bertha’s Peak Trail
Length: 7.3 mi
Elvation Gain: 1,348 ft
Estimated time: 5 hr
Out and Back
Bertha Peak is accessed by following the Cougar Crest Trail to the Pacific Crest Trail, and lastly the Bertha Peak Road for a short stretch. The trails are all well-maintained and easy to follow. The climb is consistent but gradual. From the top, there are views of Big Bear Lake and the ski resort across the water.
